On the third floor, you will find one of the few giant-screen cinemas in Hangzhou. It boasts a screen 12.5 meters high and 21.7 meters wide, with a capacity of 252 people (246 luxury seats and 6 seats for the disabled). When the two 30,000-lumen digital projectors work simultaneously, they present 60,000-lumen 2D or 3D images with incredible brightness, definition, and fidelity. The 8-channel 7.1 premium theater surround sound system, as well as the best wall and ceiling sound absorption, give the audience an unmatched experience.
The cinema is a dome structure. The screen is hemispherical, with a diameter of 12 meters. Digistar 5, a digital planetarium system developed by Evans & Sutherland, is installed. Traditional slides and built-in projectors are replaced with virtual devices, which can play real-time online videos and astronomical telescope videos. Two 110° wide-angle lenses can project a complete and seamless image on the entire dome, with 12.5 million effective pixels. Its 61 recliner-style seats allow the audience to look up and explore the mysteries of the universe comfortably.
